About CPS

Creekside Primary School is a K-2 with 540 students. Creekside is located in the East Limestone Community of Harvest, AL in Limestone County. Over the last several years, our student population has outgrown the school, and we now have an addition of 22 classrooms, a music room, a gym, and a front office.

After the addition was finished in July of 2017, our school was split into two schools - Creekside Primary (K-2) and Creekside Elementary (3-5).

Over the last several years, our school has become a Leader in Me school. Through this process, we are helping students to make decisions that have positive impacts on their life, and in other people's lives. Through our Leader in Me process, we are teaching the importance of Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to our parents and students.

With our Leader in Me program, we have adopted "Creekside Chief Awards." When students excel in an area, they are rewarded with a "Chief Award," which is a positive office referral and a visit to the prize room to pick out a special prize to take home. We have reduced our discipline referrals over the past several years by utilizing this program.

We are also striving to reduce the amount of tardiness and unexcused absences. We reward attendance each month by giving students free tickets to hockey games and coupons for free ice cream through Chick-Fil-A (our Partner-In-Education). We also recognize each student who has perfect attendance each nine week period.

Creekside Primary School has also maintained our AMSTI (Alabama Math Science Technology Initiative) school status with 100% of teachers participating, and others being trained to become AMSTI teachers.

Creekside has many after school activities such as Running Club, Keyboard Club, Drama Club, and Chorus Club. All of these activities are teacher sponsored and range from grades K-2.
